BravoCon Recap
BravoCon Recap
I made some wonderful friends through my daughters’ school, and when we bonded over our shared love of Bravo shows, we decided to plan a trip to Las Vegas for BravoCon.
If you're unfamiliar, BravoCon is a three-day fan convention where all the “Bravo-lebrities” come together for panels, meet and greets, and live-recorded shows. Fans can attend to see them in person—and yes, it's just as wonderfully silly as it sounds, but I absolutely loved it!
I adore Andy Cohen and all the Housewife franchises and spin-off shows, so we were incredibly excited to see everyone in Vegas.
We stayed at Caesar’s Palace for convenience to the convention, and our rooms were fantastic. I’ve stayed at The Wynn before, which is perhaps my favorite Vegas hotel, but it wouldn't have been as good a location for this event.
We took an early flight out of Nashville, landed around 10:30 a.m., and hit the ground running. We had a great lunch at the bar at Peter Luger (a famous New York steakhouse) inside Caesar’s Palace and then headed straight for BravoCon. We had all-day access tickets for Friday and attended the Watch What Happens Live (WWHL) show recordings on Saturday night.
On Friday, we stopped by a few panels and saw Jeff Lewis interviewing Andy Cohen and some of the Housewives casts.
Seeing the outfits, the glam, and the drama in person was so entertaining. We had an amazing dinner at Catch that night (the sashimi pizza will change your life—we ordered two!) and then visited some other fun bars for people-watching before calling it a night.
Saturday started with brunch at Sadelle’s, a beautiful spot with great food. Afterward, we walked around, admiring the amazing Christmas decorations in the Bellagio. We stopped by the luxury shops, and I purchased a beautiful Hermès scarf/shawl as a memento of the trip (the Hermès 140 size in cashmere and silk is a fantastic travel accessory).
After shopping to our hearts’ content, we went back to our hotel to change for dinner at Bazaar Mar and then went straight to the WWHL taping. This was such a fun event to attend! I love the Andy Cohen aftershow, and he had a great selection of Bravo celebrities as guests. Fun fact: Shep from Southern Charm went to business school with my husband, so after calling in a favor, my husband was able to get us backstage for a photo-op.
After the show, we stopped by another hotel bar—we had some intel that more of the Bravo stars might be there. It was so fun to see them walking through! We saw Kristin and Brittany from The Valley, Tom Sandoval (and his new girlfriend), Katie from The Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC), the cast of the newer show Southern Hospitality, and some of the original OC housewives (Heather Dubrow, Tamra, and Vicki!). If you're not a Bravo fan, this might seem very silly and unexciting, but as I told my husband, this was like being at the bar with all the players on his fantasy football team at once (lol).
It was a very quick weekend; we were back on a flight to Nashville Sunday afternoon, but we had so much fun!
A few people have asked if it was worth the money and time, and I do think if you’re a huge fan, it absolutely is. I don’t know if I’d do the full VIP tickets or go all three days, but picking one full day and a few events was a great mix, allowing us time to also shop and enjoy the city. I used to be a Vegas hater because I really don’t like to gamble, but after a few visits, I've found that it genuinely has great shows, amazing shopping, spas, and incredible food! I love a trip with friends making memories, and this was definitely one I’ll never forget!
