Small Joys: Gifts for Those Who Have Had a Hard Year

Small Joys: Gifts for Those Who Have Had a Hard Year

Having been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, going through a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and seemingly endless difficult days, I know firsthand what it’s like to go through a hard year.

In the spirit of giving this holiday season, I’ve rounded up all the gifts I appreciated most during that year and the ones I’d recommend if you’re stuck on how to help a loved one through a hard time. Many of these are products I found comforting during my breast cancer journey. Some of them come in media form, and can be passed on with a simple text + link to let this person know they are cared for and seen.

Below, my guide for what to give those who have had a hard year.
